Questions about Applylog?
Everything you need to know about tracking applications, reminders, interview prep, email forwarding and your account.
Getting started
Applylog is a web app for tracking job applications and following them up. You record each role you applied to, and Applylog reminds you when an application has gone quiet, so a good opportunity does not go cold while you wait. It also gives you a board showing where every application stands, insights on your search, and a scorecard for comparing roles.
Three ways, and all of them work today. Fill in the form, where only the company and the role are required. Paste the job posting link and let Applylog fill in what it can read from that page. Or forward the confirmation email to your own Applylog address and have the application created for you. A Chrome extension that saves a role from the page you are reading is built but not published yet.
No, and you could not use it yet if you wanted to: it is built but not published, so every current user works without it. When it does arrive it will be one more way in, not a requirement.
Yes. The free plan costs nothing, has no time limit and never asks for a card. It holds up to 10 active applications and includes the board, the scorecard, response tracking and follow-up reminders. If 10 is enough for your search, you will never pay.
Tracking and follow-up
Each application holds the company, the role, the link, the source, dates, a salary range, a contact and your own notes. The board has seven columns: Applied, Follow-up Sent, Response, Phone Screen, Interview, Offer and Accepted, and you move an application by dragging its card. Three more statuses, Rejected, Withdrawn and No Response, exist in your data and count toward your insights without being columns on the board.
Applylog schedules three reminders the moment you save an application: 7, 14 and 21 days after its applied date. Each one is emailed to you, never to the employer, on the day it falls due. Reminders are on every plan, free accounts included. The timing is fixed for now, and Settings offers a single switch that turns follow-up emails on or off for your whole account.
You can change its stage whenever you like by dragging the card between columns, and the move saves as soon as you drop it. The other details, company, role, link, salary, contact and notes, cannot be edited afterwards, because there is no edit form yet. It is worth checking those before you save, particularly when they were filled in from a link or arrived by forwarded email.
Applylog reads the company and the role out of the message and creates the application for you. Your forwarding address is in Settings under Forward an email, and it belongs to your account alone, so keep it private. One limitation worth knowing: a forwarded email always creates a new application. It cannot attach a recruiter reply or an interview invitation to a role you already track, so forwarding a second message about the same job leaves you two entries to tidy up.
No. The only email Applylog sends is a follow-up reminder to your own address. Email automation, which is a Pro feature, prepares the follow-up and opens it as a draft in your own mail client, so you read it, edit it and send it yourself.
Interview prep
A prep sheet with five sections: what to research about the company, likely interview questions for that kind of role, your talking points, questions to ask them back, and a day-of checklist. Every line is a checkbox, so the sheet doubles as a progress list. Interview prep is a Pro feature.
Only what you have already saved on that application: the company, the role, your notes, the job link and the salary range if you entered one. The role title decides which of eight tracks the questions come from. Applylog does not research the company for you, does not know who you will be meeting, and does not read your CV or anything on the web.
Privacy and your data
Yes. Your applications, notes and reminders are visible only to your own account, and no other account can read them. Nothing you record is published, and Applylog never tells an employer, a recruiter or anyone else that you applied or that you are looking.
No. We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising. A small number of providers each handle one job for us, hosting, sign-in and storage, payments, and email, and the privacy policy names them.
Yes, by asking. There is no export or delete button in the product yet, so email hello@applylog.co and you will get a copy of your data or have the account removed. Deleting takes everything attached to it with it, and the privacy policy commits to answering within 30 days.
Plans and account
Pro removes the 10 application limit and adds interview prep, email automation, and the source insights that show which channels actually reply. Everything else, the board, the scorecard, application and response tracking, and follow-up reminders, is on the free plan too.
A single payment instead of a subscription. It gives the same access as Pro, never renews, and includes future updates. It is an early supporter offer, so it will not be available forever.
Open Billing in the dashboard and choose Manage Billing, which opens the Stripe portal where you can change or cancel. Pro runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then your account returns to the free plan. Founding Lifetime is a one-time payment, so there is nothing to cancel.
Nothing is deleted. Your account returns to the free plan and everything you have recorded stays where it is. You keep reading it all; what the cap limits is adding new active applications beyond ten.
